Chloride Binding Capacity and Its Effect on the Microstructure of Mortar Made with Marine Sand

Chloride binding capacity and its effect on the microstructure of mortar made with marine sand (MS), washed MS (WMS) river (RS) were investigated in this study. The chloride contents, hydration products, micromorphology pore structures mortars analyzed. results showed that there was a diffusion trend for ions from surface fine aggregate to cement hydrated products. During whole curing period, free content by WMS increased firstly, then decreased stabilized finally time. However, total three types hardly changed. bound slightly time, included MS, RS arranged high low. C3A·CaCl2·10H2O (Friedel’s salt) formed at early age existed throughout period. Moreover, volume capillary size 10–100 nm mortar.
